Coroner’s Grand Jury • Helen Grus Investigation

Dear Friends,

As part of our national effort to restore lawful, citizen-led oversight in Canada, Grand Jury Rising is now preparing the groundwork for the first modern Grand Jury proceeding in this country.

This will be a Coroner’s Grand Jury, convened to investigate a matter of profound public concern that has never been properly examined by police, by the coroner’s office, or by any government institution.

⚖️ SUBJECT OF INVESTIGATION:

The Helen Grus Case & Uninvestigated Stillbirths in Vaccinated Mothers

We are gathering evidence and preparing submissions related to:

  • A cluster of newborn and fetal deaths in Ottawa

  • Mothers who had received the COVID-19 vaccination prior to or during pregnancy

  • The failure of police, the coroner’s office, and public health officials to investigate these deaths

  • The disciplinary targeting of Detective Helen Grus for attempting to investigate these cases internally

  • The larger public-interest question of whether vaccination-related stillbirths have been suppressed, ignored, or left unexamined

This is not a political issue.
This is a lawful oversight issue.
This is the very purpose of a Coroner’s Grand Jury:
to investigate unexplained deaths when authorities fail to do so.

🕊️ WHY A CORONER'S GRAND JURY?

Under common law and Canadian legal history, the Coroner’s Grand Jury was specifically created to:

  • Investigate suspicious, unexplained, or controversial deaths

  • Examine evidence free from political interference

  • Determine whether officials or institutions failed in their duties

  • Protect the public when state bodies refuse to act

This power was never repealed.
It was never abolished.
It remains in abeyance — fully valid and available to the people.

And now, for the first time in decades, we are preparing to invoke it.

We are currently assembling:

  • Documentation from the Grus case

  • Medical records (where consent is given)

  • Coroner-related procedural information

This is a careful, lawful process — grounded in historic Grand Jury authority, the Canadian Bill of Rights, common law due process, and the long-standing legal traditions of citizen oversight.

🚨 WHY THIS CASE MATTERS

The issue is simple:

Stillbirths occurred.
A police detective tried to investigate.
She was punished.
Authorities have still not investigated the deaths.

If ordinary deaths deserve answers,
the deaths of babies deserve more.

When the state refuses to investigate:

It will answer only to truth, lawful authority, and the people of Canada.
